Celebrating Annie – 20 wellness tips for your healthy journey

Let’s hear from long-standing customer Annie, who shares 20 of her favourite wellness tips for a healthy, happy life.


  1. Prioritise exercise.
  2. Get a good night’s sleep.
  3. Listening to music in the background soothes the soul.
  4. Walk places if time permits - instead of always driving.
  5. Take the stairs where possible - and if possible.
  6. Drink tea with lemon and honey now and then. If you don’t finish it and it becomes room temperature, add ice cubes and you have iced tea.
  7. Same with hot water and lemon and honey. If it becomes room temperature add ice cubes and you have lemonade.
  8. Put some ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) in one of your drinks, a teaspoon should be good, if it’s a drink with honey, it will offset the taste of the ACV. You can even put ACV on your skin as an astringent. A good brand is Waihi Bush ACV.
  9. Focus on the positive.
  10. Listening is good. Try not to interrupt.
  11. Cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
  12. Walk in a park from time to time.
  13. Smile as often as you can.
  14. Plant some flowers wherever you can.
  15. Same goes for veggies and trees, too.
  16. Get some natural sunlight as often as possible.
  17. Avoid wearing sunglasses all the time.
  18. Volunteer somewhere now and again if you can.
  19. Take time for yourself and enjoy your day off.
  20. Most of all, look after yourself.
