What is B Corp certification?

Becoming a B Corp is a big achievement. It indicates that a business demonstrates high standards of performance, accountability, and transparency. This globally recognised ethical business certification covers a range of factors from governance to customer stewardship, environmental performance to supply chain. No certification is perfect, but B Corp may well be the most rigorous and holistic measure of ethical business currently available.

I'm always impressed when I see that a business has attained B Corp certification, and we're pleased to have more B Corps than ever represented in our range. You can use our ‘Shop Your Way’ filter to find all the B Corps products in our range (or filter by other social and environmental attributes you care about).

Here are some great products by HealthPost’s ethical community of B Corp brands, homegrown and international, and some solid choices by established B Corp trailblazers:

BioBalance Peri Meno Peace

BioBalance Peri Meno Peace

HealthPost’s own BioBalance was the first supplement brand in Australasia to become proudly B Corp certified back in 2018 and it continues to raise the bar for effective, ethical natural products. Natural menopause support and caring for our hormonal health is an increasing priority for a lot of women and this intelligent formula features DIM, Black Cohosh and Kelp to help support a balanced mood, smoother cycle and restful sleep.

This patented Rhodiola extract is a powerful adaptogenic herb that I find helpful for better energy, nervous system support and stress resilience.

Two Islands Collagen Beauty Powder

Two Islands Collagen Beauty Powder

Two Islands is a Mindful Brand excelling in transparency, and they are now also a certified B Corp. Along with their excellent pea protein powders, Their MSC-certified marine collagen powder is among the best collagen for skin, offering high potency and a clean taste. I like the subtle natural vanilla flavour, though it also comes unflavoured. Taking a collagen supplement regularly makes a noticeable difference to the quality of my skin, and I love how easily this one mixes into hot and cold drinks.

Pacific Harvest Kelp Seasoning

Pacific Harvest Kelp Seasoning

I’ve been a Pacific Harvest fan for years, following in my mum’s footsteps of adding a small amount of seaweed to many meals – including soups, stews, curries and beans – so I was stoked to see them become a B Corp with ethics to match their clean products . This kelp seasoning is hand harvested in NZ waters. It has an umami flavour and is one of the best iodine-rich foods available. All Pacific Harvest seaweeds are regeneratively harvested and air dried to maintain their mineral potency.

Organic India Tulsi Turmeric Ginger Tea

Organic India Tulsi Turmeric Ginger Tea

One of the B Corp originals, Organic India has done so much important work in regenerative agriculture and improving business practices over the past three decades. Since the 1990s they have successfully established a sustainable business model to support the livelihood of thousands of marginalised farmers in India by providing training and education to enable self-sufficiency. This approach also makes for wonderful products, and I wouldn’t be without their Tulsi tea. The Turmeric-Ginger is a great stomach-settler, perfect for after dinner and a must for travel.
