‘Hi Lucy, what mindful products from our range are you loving?’
1) Tropeaka Lean Protein – Natural Vanilla Flavour
Mindful values: Social Responsibility
I’m not a gym-goer but I feel better when I include plenty of clean, quality protein in my diet, so I was keen to try this new super-digestible, antioxidant-rich protein blend from Tropeaka.
I appreciate the addition of organic spices and superfoods like maca, dandelion, aloe vera and turmeric to the nutritious base of pea, sprouted brown rice and pumpkin seed protein. Our kids always put a couple of scoops of protein powder in their green smoothies after school and they gave this blend the thumbs up.
I like the fact that I can drink it quickly without feeling bloated (as I do with some other protein powders), so this smart and delicious blend is set to become a staple in our household.

2) Holistic Hair Hydrating Shampoo – Scalp & Hair
Mindful values: Eco Packaging, Environmental Sustainability, Transparency
I love this environmentally conscious and transparent Kiwi brand. So many chemicals go into conventional haircare (even those brands loudly naming their plant extracts!) and Holistic Hair is raising the bar with their attention to supply chain and truly natural, effective formulas.
The Hydrating Shampoo, like much of the range, is designed to care for the sensitive scalp area as well as taking care of your hair. Living up to their name, Holistic Hair use natural essential oils rather than synthetic fragrances and they don’t use any of the palm oil derivatives often found in other shampoos - both things I really appreciate.

3) Gaia Herbs Sleep Gummies
Mindful values: Transparency, Environmental Sustainability, Social Responsibility
As for so many others, my sleep quality is variable, and despite practicing the basics of sleep hygiene (dimming lights, avoiding caffeine later in the day, mindfulness meditation etc.), I usually wake multiple times in the night.
Gaia’s new Sleep Gummies have made a noticeable difference. I’m waking less often and feeling more refreshed in the morning. It’s early days, and they say best results are seen longer term, but I’ve noticed an immediate improvement.
I already swear by ashwagandha and reishi for nervous system support, but the jujube in this formula is new to me. It turns out that it also has a long history of traditional use in China. I’m excited for others to try these tasty and powerful sleep gummies.

4) Manuka Biotic Body Wash with Certified Organic Manuka Oil
Mindful values: Transparency, Environmental Sustainability
I appreciate the fresh smell of mānuka as well as its healing and antibacterial properties. The organic and sustainably harvested oil of the native mānuka growing on a family-run Coromandel farm is put to good use in the Manuka Biotic range.
This body wash leaves skin feeling super clean (without drying) and it helps to clear up cuts and irritations, making it perfect for lathering up the kids!

5) Seasick Sunscreen Daily Face + Body Sunscreen SPF30
Mindful values: Eco Packaging, Transparency
It’s a long road to the perfect natural sunscreen, and while non-nano zinc is my first choice for the health of my family and the oceans, I have learned to expect some whiteness and stickiness. That said, Seasick Sunscreen holds up well on both counts. It feels solid in the tin (love the tin!) but goes on easily enough and the slight white sheen soon fades. As the label advises, a little goes a long way, and I only feel pale and sticky with this sunscreen if I overdo it.
Seasick is a social enterprise focused on removing sunscreen chemicals and plastics from our oceans, something I’m very keen to support!
