Whilst its popularity has been soaring in parts of the world – around one in five households in Japan has a water ioniser – the concept of water ionisation and alkalisation is relatively new to the market in this part of the world. Water undergoes a system of filtration and ionisation that may help support the body in maintaining a balanced pH and leaves the water rich in oxygen and minerals.

Consuming a wide range of minerals from a range of sources is essential to good health, yet many water filters strip water of them – utilising a water filtration system that leaves the minerals in the water rather than taking them out is ideal. Whilst they have been around for decades, technology has come a long way and filtration systems are now available to produce quality water in a benchtop filter.
