L-tyrosine is an essential amino acid that plays a number of key roles in our health and wellbeing. It maybe best known as the main amino acid in the production of thyroid hormones.   

It supports the nervous system as it is a precursor to the neurotransmitters dopamine, adrenaline and noradrenaline.
