“Yes, Citrepel, the active ingredient in the Tui bug balm, provides a good level of protection against ticks, as with most other biting insects for several hours - and there are several recent scientific studies backing this up. As ticks can be quite determined, and also cling onto clothes and climb into unexposed and unexpected areas, it may also be helpful to spray some onto clothes too - focusing on areas where they could cling on or climb up, such as trouser legs and socks. As good practice, Tui Balms still recommend checking for ticks after possible exposure too, even if you've applied liberal quantities of Tui bug spray.”
